Swimming, bath time (in the sink), playing outside, sleep. Just a few of the adventures Beau had today. Pretty sure I’ll never get over how he looks in that tiny swimsuit ever in my life. Thank you for all the kind words wishing us a happy anniversary! We had a great time having a baby free night. So much so that we took like 2 pictures when I really wanted to take 200. I hope you’re all having a wonderful week!

ps. You guys my house is almost done being framed!! I will post progress pics soon. We are about 2 months out till we get to move in. It’s been such a long process so to see progress we are shouting hallelujah, amen.

Thanks for reading!

Today makes 3 years of being married to my Blake. I can hardly believe how fast the time has gone! I look back on my wedding pictures and remember that day as one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything that day happened too fast probably because it felt perfect, and all of the good things pass by far too quickly. As lovely as that day was I am more grateful for the years we have been husband and wife and eventually mom and dad. I am the luckiest to be married to this incredible man that I love more each day if it’s even possible! Thank you for being patient, kind, tender, funny, hard working, and most of all, thank you for being mine. I love you forever husband, happy 3 years!

First off, how funny are his legs through the bars of his crib?!

Today I noticed Beau got his first freckle on his forehead and I being a freckle lover just fell in love all over again. Chances are he’ll end up with quite a few more since his parents both have a good helping of them! One of my dear friends just had her baby boy 6 weeks ago. I finally got to hold him for the first time and remembered that feeling of a newborn in my arms. I’m pretty sure I looked like a crazy person to an outsider as I gazed at every perfect inch of him, but I just let my mind go back to my sweet boy and how fast that newborn stage goes. It might be my favorite age. The age of zero.

But then I reluctantly gave my friends baby back and went to my big huge baby who NEVER stops moving unless he is asleep. Who knows how to open every door in the house, who knows how to say “no”, and cause lots of mischief. But he also knows how to give big hugs around your neck that are so tight and everything you could dream a hug should be. He knows how to give kisses and say “mama”. So then I thought maybe this age is my favorite? But what about when he is able to say sentences and can say “I love you”, will that be my favorite? I guess all I know is that he is my favorite. My big squishy boy with the poutiest set of lips you’d ever see. Sending you all virtual big lipped baby Beau kisses! xo thanks for reading!

we love sundays.

Just before we put our boy to bed last night we decided to enjoy some time outside together. We were all practically in our jammies because hello it’s Sunday! After church the sweats go on. We played basketball, and tetherball, and of course jumping on the tramp. As you can tell from my jumping picture I am very talented in the tricks department. But nothing is quite as sweet as my boys playing ball together. Beau is so crazy about his dad and it’s the best to see them together. I am a lucky girl! I hope you guys have a great week. Thanks for reading!

ps. This sweatsuit I’m wearing is from Amuse and I LOVE it. It has fringe all down the sides which I think is so awesome, despite what most of my family member think!

Are you sick of pictures yet? This is the last of them I swear. A few snaps of our walk to Balboa Island and our big family bike ride home. Those 8 seater bikes are FUN! We totally felt like circus music should have been playing while we rode since we felt like clowns but instead we put on some Jay Z because my family does stuff like that. And OMG have you guys had a frozen banana yet? I recommend getting them covered with sprinkles. I needed one every day, they are that gooooood!! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Chances are mine won’t be as good as last weekend, but my boys always seem to be a great time so I’ll be playing with them all weekend!

Don’t you just love September? Gosh, I do. Thanks for reading!

ps. Isn’t Blake’s man bun so funny? Especially in the sunset pictures where our silhouettes match! 😉

And we are back from our week long vacation to Newport. It was unreal in every way! My parents rented a beach house for a week for the whole family to stay and play for 7 days. The weather was a balmy 80 degrees and perfect for getting golden brown and laying on the beach. This is only the first batch of pictures we took so there are more to come! And honestly I felt like I hardly took pictures while we were there because I was just too busy enjoying time without a phone (for the most part). We rode bikes, took naps, ate frozen bananas, and even made a trip over to fashion island for the girls to do some shopping. I purchased this and this! Let’s just say it was a week well spent and boy is it hard to transition back to normal life!

Last night we took Beau to the University of Utah football game. Grandpa Larry has season box tickets so we get spoiled when we get invited to go. Dinner, popcorn, and all the diet coke I want makes for a good time. It was the first game of the season and it was so much fun! I’ve never been a big sports girl but going to sporting events is about a million times better than watching it on tv. Plus something about football starting and knowing that fall is around the corner just makes me happy. Beau had so much fun and was seriously the best boy! He watched the game, and then would get super snuggly (heart eye emoji’s for snuggles), and then would clap and flirt with the girls around us. During half time we took him inside and let him run all over the place and by the time 2nd half started he was ready for more action! I just love seeing my sweet boy discovering all these new things. Football was a big thumbs up for him! Unfortunately church is still a thumbs down but we’re working on it!

Yay for the long weekend too! Next week we are going to Newport CA for a little family vacation and I’m soooooo excited!! Have a great long weekend you guys. Thanks for reading, I love you for it. xo

A random batch of pictures of my boy. Our walks, our snuggles, and his little fingers under the door. He loves to shut himself in the closet with the lights off and reach his fingers out for me to grab. He is just too much sweetness for me to handle! Seriously. Oh and our house is finally moving along and getting built already!! It has been a disaster getting everything started but now it’s finally making progress. They tell us we’ll be in by end of October, but I’m really planning on December because I swear it’s ALWAYS longer than they say. We love staying with my parents, but can’t wait till we have our own space again.

On a sidenote I’m drooling over these. I don’t think I can resist the urge much longer!

a campout

You guys I survived camping! And I actually had a good time which is the greater miracle. We went with some wonderful friends and enjoyed time away from phones, and all other distractions. It was surprisingly nice! Honestly I enjoy sitting around the fire and roasting marshmallows. I just hate the smoke smell, the dirtiness, the peeing in the woods, sleeping on the ground, and cleaning up camp part. ha! Plus Beau just kept trying to eat every rock he saw so I had to chase him around to stop him every few seconds! This was our first time camping with a baby and I was expecting it to be horrible, especially the sleeping part. Unfortunately I wasn’t wrong about that. We slept in the back of our big SUV with pads and lots of blankets but we still hardly slept a wink and we were freezing the whole night. My poor baby was so mad! So besides the horrible night, it was a success. After we got home and washed our hair 6 times we went to bed at 8:00 and slept until 8:30 the next morning!

Of course I took a million pictures and am now about to overload you with them. Don’t we look outdoorsy?!

Can you even believe how many pictures that was? Sorry but when you go camping once in a blue moon you have to document it.

Thank so much for reading! Have a happy Monday!

wednesday’s with beau

Wednesday posts are always dedicated to my Beau. And so more sleeping pictures of my baby because I just can’t get over it. When he falls asleep in my bed I just have to sit and stare, because nothing else matters in the world. He is learning so many things, and saying words, understanding small bits and pieces of what I’m saying to him. And it’s amazing to see him grow and change. And it’s also sad to watch the time pass by and see my baby turn into a big boy. He is curious and loves mischief of one kind and another. Loves to say “no” and then do it anyway because it makes him giggle. And every mess he makes, and things he destroys seem to vanish when he clings to my legs to be held.

I am lucky to be his mama.

Thanks for reading friends! See more of my baby (as if you don’t already!) and daily life by following along here!

ps. Next week’s posts are all my fitness/workout tips and tricks so let me know if you want anything specific!
