Beau’s favorite spot in his room is the window. It’s the perfect height for him to reach and see all the cars. And by that I mean the one car parked on the side of the road in our neighborhood. One morning Blake was out shoveling all the snow and Beau watched him the entire time saying “dada” over and over again. Followed by “caw” (car) and pointing his sweet fingers at his dad. He is always holding a car in his hand. Like no matter what he’s doing he has at least one car! I love this boy and his messy bed head so much! What are your plans for New Years? We always get Thai food to go and are in bed by like 11. That’s how cool we are. I hope your New Year is amazing! It has been a wonderful 2015. I started blogging over the summer, and we moved into our home in the winter. It was a very happy year and I’m excited to see what happens in 2016. Thank you so much to those of you who read this blog. It means more than I can write into words! I have big dreams and goals for this little blog of mine. Thank you for being there! xoxo

I hope you guys had a great Christmas! Ours was really perfect and everything we could have hoped for. I’ve mentioned before that we didn’t put up any Christmas decor because of our move, so that was the only thing really missing. Christmas morning we had some cars set up for Beau, which he loved, before we ate cereal for breakfast and headed out to family’s houses. We all got spoiled with too many things from Grandma and Grandpa. The best part of it all was spending so much time with the ones we love most! We are so grateful to have both of our family’s just a short drive away. As you can see our Beau had a very busy and fun day that tuckered him right out in the car. I just can’t get over his sweet pouty lips while he sleeps (heart eye emojis X 1million). It’s hard to get back in the swing of things after Christmas but luckily another break this weekend for New Years!
Happy Monday, thanks for reading!

Beau gets really giggly when we take selfies together! He started laughing, so I started laughing, and we didn’t stop until he got the hiccups. Anytime he sees himself in the mirror or a phone he says “baby” and gets all cheesy. It’s really the cutest. This last picture I caught of him when I was in my room and it got a little too quiet. I ran to his room and saw him looking through a book quietly. He does this often and I’m a puddle on the floor every time. He’s getting so big and smart and learns so many new words every day. He can now count to 10 (although he gets stuck around 6 and 7). I feel like I can understand what he wants with his little words most of the time. It’s sad how fast this time goes! How badly I wish I could press pause. But each day brings more new things for him and just more joy for me.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas! I hope you spend it with family, and good food, and gratitude for what this day is really about. And of course maybe a pair of shoes or something 😉 xo
My baby in his Christmas Sunday outfit is just my favorite. He gets really tired of me trying to get pictures of him all the time but it’s just one thing I’ll never stop! This weekend Blake begged me to watch the Star Wars trilogy with him to prepare for the new one that people are freaking out over. I have never been even slightly interested in the series but gave in and agreed to watch them. You know the old ones from the 70’s? Well it turns out I was correct all along and after watching 6 hours worth of Star Wars I am still not a fan. Sorry hubs! Are any of you Star Wars fans? I know I’m in the minority but I just can’t get into it.
Happy Monday, and countdown to Christmas!

I had to share our Christmas pictures that my dear friend Angela took of our little family. I’m so in love with these shots and the boys in them, I can hardly believe they are mine! Beau’s personality is perfectly displayed in them. And I giggle every time I look at the picture of Blake and I with our baby in the background just walking along by himself! He has the funniest personality ever. I can hardly believe Christmas is in one week. This year hasn’t felt very festive with moving into a new house. I mean, it’s the greatest Christmas gift ever but we didn’t even put up a tree this year because of unpacking and settling in. So we feel kind of grinchy! Next year we will really make up for it and go Christmas crazy! Luckily Beau doesn’t really get it yet so we can get away with it this year.
Have the best weekend! I have some Christmas shopping to finish up, as well as taking my little babe to see Santa.

We woke up to a winter wonderland this week. Zero snow one day and the next everything was COVERED! I myself have never really been a snow fan, but there is just something so beautiful about it. I like it most when I don’t have to leave the house and can enjoy it from a warm home. But now that I have a little one who enjoys playing in it, I like snow much more than I used to. Last winter wasn’t a snowy one, plus Beau was 6 months old. So this year is his first time playing in the snow. I got him all bundled up and let him play in the backyard thinking he wouldn’t love the cold. But oh man he LOVED it! I got freezing and had to go inside to watch him from my back door. He didn’t want to come in and seriously could have played forever. Plus I was dying over how cute he looked in his snow gear. A baby in snow pants is amazing.

One of Beau’s favorite things (besides cars. He LOVES cars) is books! We’ve been reading to him since he was a newborn and it’s still one of his most favorite things. Sometimes I’ll catch him sitting in his nursery looking through his books by himself and I’m just a like a puddle on the floor after that. Ugh it’s so cute I could just eat him up! I think he’s finally getting used to his new room now. It took him a few days to feel at home but he seems to enjoy all the extra room!
Have a great Monday, thanks for reading!
A couple weeks ago I got to spend the morning with some gorgeous girls in some beautiful clothes. If you haven’t shopped at Mindy Mae’s Market you are seriously missing out!!! They have thee best stuff ever. I’m crazy about everything of theirs I’ve ever put on. I’m especially obsessed with these! And make sure to check out these 3 other lovely ladies over at their blogs. One of the things I love most about blogging is meeting lots of amazing and talented people. It was so fun to hang out with new friends in the fashion/photography/blogging world! We got to wear so many pretty pieces from Mindy Mae’s Market, Bliss Tulle, Woven Pear & Tickled Teal.
Happy weekend it is! I hope you all do something you love. I’m planning on staying home with my little family with lots of popcorn, movies, and hopefully some naps.

We have had a busy week with moving and unpacking so when Beau got croup the timing couldn’t have been worse! Although there is no good time for a sick baby. He has been the sweetest boy even through feeling horrible. We went to the dr. today and got him medicine and a sucker, so he’s feeling MUCH better! He even let me take a few shots of him before his nap time. I love this baby so much I could eat him up! Have the happiest of Wednesdays.

You guys, I am in my house. Tonight is our first night sleeping here and it feels crrrazzzyyy!! We moved in all week and weekend and of course the house is a disaster full of boxes and piles and piles of clothes to be put away. I feel overwhelmed by it all, but mostly very blessed to be in a new home. It will take time to settle in, but even laying here in my bed tonight I don’t care about all of the mess on the floor around me. This place feels like mine. My baby is in his new room tonight sleeping like a champ! I hope he feels like this place is his too. He LOVED it at his grandparent’s house for the past 6 months. And honestly so did we. As I walked out of the little place that was ours for those few months I broke down and cried. And even still if I think about it I cry because truth be told I loved living with my parents. And while I’m happy to be where I am now, part of me aches to not be there. Basically I’m kind of a baby. Especially because if you could see how far away we moved from them you’d make fun of me. It may or may not be a 5 minute drive.
Happy Monday!
