Here is a week of baby B. This sweet boy is so sick, as you can see by the last two pictures. He is super fevered and currently on a steady stream of Motrin and Tylenol. Beau has always been a champ of a sleeper. Down by 9 and never up until morning between 7:30 and 9:00. But these past few nights he’s been in our bed only wanting snuggled extra tight, and lots of songs sung in his ear. Needless to say we haven’t slept but a few hours the past couple nights, but we’re hoping tonight is a better one! He is such an active boy so when he doesn’t want to get out of bed I know he is not feeling good. Wish us luck! Hopefully your week is going well with no signs of being sick.

ps. I’m 2 episodes in to Making a Murderer and I literally have no words. So many emotions at once. I’m on my way to watch the 3rd episode, yikes…

These are some of the things I’m LOVING right now! I have the black pair in these, but I can’t stop thinking about the white ones. I am obviously on a shoe kick right now (or always!). Have you guys bought anything fun lately? I hope you had a great weekend. We had a fun night with our friends at our house eating dinner and talking on the floor with blankets and pillows since we are still waiting on that dang couch! Tonight we are going to start watching Making a Murderer. Has anyone watched it? I’m excited/kind of nervous. Have a happy Monday, thanks for reading!

Here’s to the weekend people. I’m so happy this month is almost over! Although I don’t like to wish time away, I’m not fond of January. We spend lots of time playing in our empty house with tiny toy cars, eating popcorn, and taking pictures together. January is really not so bad if you have a baby Beau in your life. When he takes naps I get in a workout, or I browse online and find things I can’t stop thinking about like these in the color pink!!!! I’m clearly ready for spring. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

It’s been a very busy week and weekend with more stress than we’d like to have so we are really hoping this week goes a lot smoother! Blake’s sweet grandma passed away and we had the funeral Saturday so it’s been an emotional time over here. Last week on a particularly hard day I put Beau in his highchair for lunch and just rested for a minute on the floor (no couch problems). It was only a second to myself, but it was very much needed. And then of course I thought what a great idea to get out the phone snap a few pics of my sweet boy. He brings me so much joy always, but especially in those hard moments he is the greatest blessing in my life. If I have him (& his dad) I have everything. Here’s to a happy week!

Just a few things that I’m loving right now! I practically live in these nikes and they are amazing so get them NOW!  I have heard rave reviews about this moisturizer. Has anyone tried it?

Happy happy Friday! We couldn’t be more ready for the weekend over here. I hope you all have a great one. Thanks for reading!

Things have been going well over here! We are in the process of furnishing our house very, very slowly. Goodness furniture and home decor is expensive! Just one of the many reasons I love Target so dearly. With having hard floors through our entire main level we needed rugs. I have been obsessed with this rug for months but couldn’t stomach the price tag. We decided a good compromise was getting the runner instead of the huge one I originally wanted and goodness I am in LOVE with it. I’m still waiting on this one for the main area. Our couch is ordered but apparently takes 8 weeks?! So looks like we’ll be sitting down sometime in the spring.  I’ll show pictures once things get put together but for now our main level is one huge empty space! Beau thinks it’s really fun to scream at the top of his lungs and hear it echo. Blake and I want to rip out our hair every time. So as you can see from these pics we spend a lot of time sitting on the floor! We have the best time racing cars and doing spins in our wide open space! I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far. Thanks for reading my friends!

homemade pizza night

Saturday night we stayed in after a long day of running errands. One of those errands did include a new couch that we finally purchased for our house! This has been a long time coming so it was very exciting to finally find something we both loved. Anyway, my mother in law bought me some gluten free pizza mix so we decided to give it a try! I have made pizza a few times but it’s always been with frozen dough where you just add toppings. This mix you actually get your hands in and roll out dough (first timer over here!). It was honestly the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had! Blake loved it too and he’s not even a gluten free eater. I have celiac disease so gluten is not optional for me, but with pizza tasting like this you won’t even miss the gluten. We topped ours with sausage and turkey bacon and I am still dreaming about it! I was hoping to have Beau help me with the pizza dough but he fell asleep while we were running errands so he was out cold! I hope you all had a great weekend!

bath time with beau

Bath time is a favorite over at our house! Sometimes if Beau is being particularly whiny, or I just need to sit down for a minute I’ll put him in the bath and he’s in heaven! And honestly so am I to get to actually sit back and watch him play. Plus there isn’t much sweeter than a chubby naked baby! I hope you are all having a great week so far. My parents are in Hawaii, and my sister is in Disneyland so I’m feeling a little jealous of them for escaping January in Utah! We will just stay warm with plenty of baths 😉

You guys my site has been going bonkers lately so I’m sorry for the delay in loading and all the other problems. My blog is going to be getting a face lift so it’s working through a few kinks. Please bear with me! Anyway, I’m sure many of you have made new years resolutions, some of which may include fitness goals. I have never been great with resolutions. My relationship with fitness is pretty committed so if anything I make goals to continue being consistent and try new workouts! When it’s cold outside the gym is my usual go to. I’m lucky to have been born into a family where my mom was a personal trainer when I was young. So she has a gym in her home that I take full advantage of. I am passionate about long distance running, but also can’t resist a good weight training session. Tell me what you guys like to do for workouts! I am always interested in trying new things. Lately I have been obsessed with this you tube channel. I am always dying by the end of her workouts!

I hope your new year has been wonderful so far! Thanks for reading!

it’s 2016

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 presetIMG_7917IMG_7850Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 preset

It is 2016 now. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the year. So many wonderful things happened in 2015:

My baby turned one!

We built a new home.

I finally started my blog.

Blake made great strides in his job.

I kept blogging even when I had doubts in myself.

Met new friends!

And so many more great things. I really enjoyed 2015 and as usual can’t believe how fast the year went. I have no doubts this year will be the same way. I’ve never been one to make big resolutions or set numerous goals for the new year. But this year I have a few personal and professional goals for myself and hopefully I’ll see more growth in myself this year. I’m so excited to see what’s in store! I hope your New Year is everything you hope it to be! Truth is, my 2016 is already made with these two boys of mine. I love to look back and see how much Beau has changed. It makes me cry to see his fat cheeks and how fast those slimmed down :(! Thanks for reading friends! I love you guys.
