I’ve been sitting here staring at these pictures of my babe and getting lost in a daze feeling no inspiration to write anything. You know those moments when you get writers block and so you literally stare at the computer screen forever with not one word in your brain? But at least it’s Friday. After what has felt like the longest week it is finally the weekend! And also I over worked my calves in the gym and I literally have been walking on my toes for two days. Like haven’t set my heals down in 48 hours on account of my pain. YOW! I guess that’s what happens when you work your calves once a year. Enough of my rambling (insert monkey covering his eyes in embarrassment emoji). I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We plan on hiking (if my calves show me some mercy), brunching, and relaxing. This weekend my mom, sis, the kids, and myself went to Gardner Village to eat treats and get in the Halloween spirit! We go every year before Halloween. My nieces love to get their faces painted and see all the witch decorations. Beau was only 4 months old last year so this time he really enjoyed running around, and his first cake pop which he devoured and threw his hands in the air in approval. It was a perfect day spent with some of my favorite people. Plus I still can’t get over how my mom caught Beau smiling and clapping in the first picture! It’s a miracle he even sat down so it’s getting framed for sure. Have a great Monday guys! I’m a bit under the weather so I’m hoping I can sneak in a nap between chasing this monkey!

Just laying in bed blogging past midnight when I should be long asleep. I guess it’s technically Friday so hooray for the weekend! My Blake is back home from being gone for work for a few days. I’m the wife that HATES when my husband goes out of town for work (which is only 1-2 times per year). The babe and I had a great time just the two of us but we definitely feel more complete when dad is around. I’ll sleep much more soundly now that I have him laying next to me. Except for the snoring he does occasionally! I can always live without that. And now I’m rambling which means I am really tired. Beau will be up in 6 hours so better sleep while I can before I have to chase that monkey again tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend! We plan on hiking and sneaking in a nap or two. What are you guys doing?

So you know how sometimes you scroll through your instagram feed and see all of this flawless, poreless skin?  I swear everyone I see on there has this glowing complexion and I’m all ‘what filter are you using to look this amazing?’ (This picture is from when I was pregnant and I’m pretty sure photoshopped by a professional!) I am someone who is crazy about skincare. As in I have tried almost every skincare line known to man from drug store brands to fancy expensive creams. Cetaphil, Cervae, Aveeno, Juice Beauty, Bliss, Josie Maran, Eminence, Estee Lauder, SK-II, LaMer to name a few. Plus a Clarisonic and the PMD. Through trying all of these many products I have found a few favorites that I love that I want to share with all of you! But really I want to hear what you guys love because I am ALWAYS up to trying new things. Like I just ordered THIS and am so excited to try it because I’ve heard amazing things. Have any of you tried it?!

But first about my skin….So I have fine skin I guess. I have freckles and a fairly clear complexion but of course have the dreaded dark spots from healing blemishes and such. I never broke out in jr high or high school. Instead I got my breakouts when I was a whopping 25 years old. Yeah it was fun. And I swear sometimes I still breakout like I’m a 14 year old when I’m actually 28 and feel like I should be past this stuff. That being said here are some of my favorite products that help me stay blemish free!

Calm Skin Chamomile Cleanser– So gentle yet effective at removing makeup for my super sensitive skin.

SK-II Essence– Balances out the PH of your skin. This is a fairly recent buy but I saw a difference immediately in the tone of my skin.

Clear Skin Probiotic Moisturizer– This makes your face tingle and feel fresh. Plus it keeps skin clear! It’s so amazing!

Facial Recover Oil– I am a huge fan of oils on your face. This one is so luxurious and makes your skin baby soft. Plus it lasts forever since you only need a few drops.

Clean & Clear spot treatment– The best spot treatment I’ve found to really kill those zits!

Honest Organic Healing Balm– I love this to give my cheeks a dewy look. Or when I’m super dry I slather it on everywhere. Beau and I share this one since it’s great for his eczema and diaper rash.

Happy Friday to you! Are you sick of pictures of this babe and me? This weekend my Blake and I are having a night out on the town and staying at the fancy hotel where we got married to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. The actual day is on the 28th but it’s a Monday so we are celebrating a little early. My mom is watching Beau while we’re away for a night and I’m already missing him just thinking about it! I haven’t been away from my baby overnight before and I’m getting anxiety! Don’t get me wrong, my mom is the best sitter and I don’t worry about him for a second. Plus it will be really nice to sleep in, like really sleep in; but boy will I miss him like crazy! I am really excited though to have a date night and celebrate 3 years married to my love with no baby interruptions. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend full of pumpkin spice latte’s and lots of love.
