Lately….
I discovered I can get caught up in social media and let it get me down.
I found my solution to that was to hide my phone and stare at my two lovely boys who always make me feel like their favorite girl in the universe.
My really big baby decided he doesn’t want to eat anything EVER. Not even ice cream or candy. Seriously who are you?
I’ve noticed how easy it is to make your life look perfect on a blog and realized I don’t want to show that. My life is good, but it’s seriously rough around the edges and that’s ok. Let’s show more of the real stuff.
I decided my favorite thing about going to sleep was knowing I get to have breakfast when I wake up.
I vacuumed the entire house with Beau right behind me using his tiny toy vacuum in just a diaper and watched my baby turn into a toddler.

Aww, I know what you mean girl and awww again I could see your little boy vacuming the floor in my head with his diaper on and the smile on his face.

It’s to see bloggers who show their real lives via their site or social media.

Thank you so much Zarrah! It’s always refreshing to see real life on social media π
Love your top.
I’m with you on the social media thing. Especially when you see the success of other bloggers… and it’s like… yeah, I’d be okay with a gorgeous new house that’s all light and airy. But don’t let it bring you down. Because you are so correct, sometimes the seemingly perfect is the most imperfect.
I hide my phone sometimes, too. I’ve had my 9 year old hide it and I tell her not to tell me where it is for a couple of hours…
Have you ever read Sam’s blog Besos from America? She wrote a post (this post) the other day talking about striving to be more real online. Maybe the 3 of us can collaborate? Let me know if you’d be interested… we could come up with something… could be cool…

Thank you so much for your comment Amber! It can be so hard to feel like so many bloggers get more successful quicker. It’s easy to beat ourselves up. But I have to remember that none of us have perfect lives and to look to those successful bloggers as inspiration and be happy for their success! I try to focus on the happy moments but also know that the not so happy moments happen frequently too, and it’s ok to show it sometimes.
I actually did read Sam’s post and loved it. Yes I’d love to look into a collaboration. Let me know! xo
LADIES LETS DO THIS!!!! You both are the best and this would be a blast. π

Don’t let social media get you down my love! Nobody’s life is as perfect as it may look on a blog. π So sorry that silly boy isn’t eating… Welcome to my life 24/7… ha ha… Love the baby vacuum! So cute!!!
Thank you for visiting Ali!! I love you! Beau seriously is eating next to nothing. So horrible!!!
Such cute pics! Love this! It’s so true! People don’t always display the hard times publically! But we all have them! Just like I don’t display the failed recipes teehee!

Thanks Danielle! I can’t even picture you having a failed recipe! You always amaze me with your skills π
I am the exact same way about my breakfast: swiss muesli or pancakes are the only things that can make me get out of bed sometimes! Your honesty is refreshing, and I feel the same way about social media especially as a new blogger.
Thank you Laura! Glad to know I’m not the only girl who is obsessed with breakfast, haha! Social media can be hard sometimes. Us new bloggers gotta stick together! There’s always room for more successful bloggers!
Love finding such a real and refreshing post, a joy to read.

Oh I have the same thing about breakfasts, especially if I know that I’ll be having something really tasty)))
Agree about the social media, but I take it more as an inspiration source so it doesn’t drown me that much.
